Holidays Are Prohibited, ASNs In East Java Are Obliged To Live In Locations During The Easter Holidays

SURABAYA - All civil servants (PNS) in East Java are prohibited from traveling outside the city during the Easter holiday this week. To find out their movements, civil servants are required to have a WhatsApp (WA) live location every eight hours.

"Following up on the SE Governor of East Java. There is a ban on civil servants out of town, on vacation or going home with their families on this long holiday. So that civil servants are required to have live locations, not share locations, but live locations for WA," said the Head of East Java BKD, Nurkholis, in Surabaya, Thursday, April 1st.

This prohibition, said Nurkholis, refers to the Circular (SE) issued by the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) Tjahjo Kumolo. This prohibition takes effect from April 1-4.

Meanwhile, for the technical live location of WA, he said, starting at 08.00 WIB, civil servants must live location in groups according to their respective offices. This live location is mandatory for eight hours until 16.00 WIB.

"So that the movement of civil servants is known. Then at 16.00 WIB, ASN must have a live location again," he said.

If it violates, said Nurkholis, then ASN will be subject to sanctions in accordance with Government Regulation Number 53 of 2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline, and Government Regulation Number 49 of 2018 concerning Government Employee Management with a Work Agreement.

"We'll see what the violations are like. The toughest sanctions can be stopped. Anyway, we will be severely punished until dismissal," he explained.
