JAKARTA - Officials from the South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat / Damkar) evacuated a 3.5 meter long snake that entered a resident's house in Jagakarsa.

"The snake we evacuated is a type of reticulated python," said Gulkarmat Sector X Jagakarsa picket officer Agus Sukoco in South Jakarta, Thursday.

Gulkarmat South Jakarta deployed four personnel to catch the snake from Suryadi's house on Jalan Sagu Raya RT 10, Jagakarsa, on Thursday at around 01.50 WIB.

The officers found no obstacles during the evacuation of the snakes because they were in the yard of the house. "Officers need about 15 minutes to evacuate the snake," he said.

The snake was then secured to Gularmat Sektor X Jagakarsa to coordinate with the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA).
