JAKARTA - The Association of Umrah Travel Entrepreneurs Togetherness (BERSATHU) on Thursday, September 26, attended a coordination meeting with the Indonesian Ministry of Religion to prepare for the implementation of a special pilgrimage in 1446 H/2025. The meeting which was held in the 1st Session Room of the Directorate General of Umrah Hajj, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia was attended by the Director General of Hajj and Umrah, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Director of Umrah and Special Hajj Development of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Head of the Indonesian Hajj Health Center, Consul for Hajj Jedah and 11 associations.

Director General of PHU Hilman Latif said that the Saudi Arabian government in the hajj year 1445 H/2024 arrested many pilgrims who used non-hajj visas. This became the government's homework to release these prisoners and repatriate them to their homeland. The government, in this case the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, then carried out advocacy for these pilgrims.

"We certainly welcome the direction from the government, it is time for the government to take concrete action against the perpetrators who send the congregation outside the quota that has been determined by the government. The perpetrators should have received legal action for what was done," said Rizky Sembada as Secretary General of the Public Relations Committee when met after attending the meeting.

In this regard, Saudi Arabia will tighten Hajj regulations and add a supervisory team for violating Hajj next year. Responding to this, the Indonesian government will also anticipate tightening the rules and supervision for Indonesian Muslims who want to perform the pilgrimage, so only and must use a Hajj visa. The government will also take firm action against those who are desperate to perform Hajj by using a non-hajj visa.

In terms of health, the pilgrims were also discussed at this meeting. On the same occasion Farid Aljawi as the Daily Chair of the BUSATHU stated that he was ready to support the government's efforts to socialize the importance of the health of the pilgrims as one of the main factors and become a concern when carrying out the pilgrimage. Later all pilgrims who will depart must go through a strict health check process. So that in carrying out the pilgrimage it is included in the istito'ah category or capable.

If the congregation is able to physically and psychologically, the government will not do too much homework for the supervision of the activities of the pilgrims. Through this activity, the problem of Jemaah's Health is well resolved, so that the congregation can maximize their worship.

Based on the experience of the last 2 years, the incidence of many pilgrims who died was caused by pneumonia or pneumonia. The very hot weather in Saudi Arabia and pilgrims are not ready to face this condition due to many factors, causing pneumonia or other diseases.
