JAKARTA - The DPP Democrat Party led by Moeldoko respects the Government's decision regarding the management of the Democratic Party.

DPP spokesman for the Democratic Party's version of the Extraordinary Congress, Ilal Ferhard, said party conflicts would be resolved through the State Administrative Court and the District Court.

"InshaAllah, we will apply this legal mechanism to obtain justice and at the same time restore the spirit of the Democratic Party as a modern, open and democratic party, becoming a large home for all Indonesian people," Ilal told VOI, Thursday, April 1.

Furthermore, Ilal emphasized that the announcement of Menkumham Yasonna H. Laoly yesterday proved that there was absolutely no government intervention in the internal affairs of the Democratic Party.

"This also proves that Mr Moeldoko has been slandered by SBY and AHY who accuse the government of being behind Mr Moeldoko," said the senior Democrat politician.

Related to this, Ilal invited Democratic cadres to solve problems with smart, clean and polite politics. Not a wild way and spread lies and slander to the community.

According to Ilal, the issue of Moeldoko wanting to coup several other political parties is a cruel slander that is completely irresponsible.

"In fact, it has been directly denied by the leadership of the party leadership that the accusation is not true," he said.

He again reminded that it was cadres and seniors who asked Moeldoko to fix the Democrat Party which had shifted into a party that was no longer democratic.

"From open to closed, from people's sovereignty (meritocracy) to tyrannical and familyist sovereignty (Cikeastocracy)," he quipped.

For this reason, said Ilal, in order to save Indonesia Emas 2045 and Pancasila democracy from undermining radical actions, Moeldoko is willing to accept the mandate as Chairman of the Democratic Party at all costs.

"This is Mr Moeldoko's personal political choice. This step is not Mr Moeldoko's personal ambition, especially just for the 2024 elections. Once again, this is an option to save Indonesia Emas 2045," he stressed.

Ilal added that taking the PTUN route proved that Moeldoko was law-abiding and had never abused his position as alleged. Moeldoko, he said, also appealed to all Democratic Party cadres to remain calm, solid, unified and maintain order in their respective neighborhoods.

"Let us show the people of Indonesia and the world that the Democratic Party is a clean, smart, and polite party. A party that fights for democracy based on Pancasila, which fights for the people's fate to be better, which gives room for all cadres to develop their careers, which becomes the party is open to all Indonesian people, "he concluded.
