JAKARTA - Chairman of the Nahdatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board Robikin Emhas asked the public not to be afraid, although they still have to increase their vigilance.

He conveyed this after the incident where the suspected terrorist broke into the area of the Police Headquarters on Wednesday, March 31.

According to him, people should not show fear because the main target of acts of terrorism is to cause fear.

"Let's increase our vigilance, let's not be afraid of terror. Because, the main target of terrorism is fear which, if managed, could lead to chaos and instability, ”said Robikin in a video statement to reporters, Wednesday, March 31.

By not showing fear, the public has shown resistance to acts of terrorism by irresponsible parties. In addition, he also hopes that people can strengthen each other and knit together.

"We are still not afraid. Let us fight together, let us join hands to strengthen togetherness and make diversity a strength to build national civilization, "he said.

The PBNU also condemned these acts of terror. Robikin also said that religion could not be an excuse for the violence being carried out.

He also said that this action also shows that all parties currently have extraordinary homework. Moreover, if the perpetrator is not related to any terrorist group or lone wolf.

"If this is the lone wolf phenomenon, it will be an enormous homework for us as citizens of the nation. Why? Because lone wolf is not easy to detect, "he said.
