The Bekasi City Metro Police conducted an examination of two eyewitnesses regarding the discovery of 7 unidentified men's bodies floating in the Bekasi River, behind the Al Ikhlas Mosque, Pondok Gede Permai housing estate, RT 04/08, Jatirasa Village, Jatiasih District, Bekasi City.

"Two witnesses named Eko Santoso and Syaekhu were questioned regarding the incident," said Bekasi City Metro Police Chief, Kombes Dani Hamdani, Sunday, September 22.

To the police, a witness named Syaekhu while walking near the Al Ikhlas mosque met the mothers who were members of the cat community. He saw that several nearby bodies were found floating.

"The mothers provided information while looking for the missing angora cat around the river. Then she saw the corpse at the river," he said in the report.

After receiving this information, Syaekhu then checked the Bekasi River flow. It turned out to be true, Syaekhu saw a corpse floating in the Bekasi River.

"First, five bodies were found. I then informed Eko. Next, Eko reported to the Jatiasih, Koramil, and BNPB Police," he said.

Furthermore, members of the Jatiasih Police, led by the Jatiasih Police Chief and the Bekasi City Metro Police, visited the crime scene (TKP). Furthermore, 7 bodies have been evacuated to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta.

Previously, it was reported that the joint SAR team was still conducting a sweep along the Bekasi River, Perum Nusa Indah, Jati Asih area, Bekasi City, West Java, Sunday, September 22, afternoon.
