Clarification Of Alleged Gratification Of MXGP Samota Circuit Land, Kajati Calls 2 Sumbawa Officials

NTB - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) summoned two regional officials from Sumbawa Regency to provide clarification in the case of alleged gratification in the process of purchasing land for the Samota Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP) in 2023 worth IDR 53 billion.

Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Efrien Saputera, admitted that he had not received any information from the special criminal field regarding the summons of the two regional officials.

"There is no information about that yet," said Efrien in Mataram, Friday, September 20, as reported by Antara.

However, he confirmed that the summons of the two regional officials was still in the status of a request for clarification at the investigation stage.

"Masih penyelidikan kasus ini, belum naik dik (penyidikan), jadi kalau ada yang dianggil, sifatnya masih permintaan klarifikasi para pihak saja," ujarnya.

The summoning of these two regional officials has been confirmed by Plt. Inspector of the Sumbawa Inspectorate I Made Patrya. Request for clarification is scheduled for Monday, September 23 at the Sumbawa Prosecutor's Office.

"So, based on the letter we received from the NTB Prosecutor's Office, there are two officials who will be questioned at the Sumbawa Kejari, Monday (23/9)," said Made.

The two officials who were included in the agenda for the request for clarification Monday (23/9), Muhammad Jalaluddin, the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) for land acquisition at the Sumbawa and Agusfian Public Housing and Settlement Areas (PRKP) Office, the Head of Highways at the Sumbawa Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (PUPR).

"Both of them were asked to clarify in the process of investigating allegations of corruption in the land acquisition process for the Samota MXGP circuit," he said.

Following up on the summons, Made ensured that his party had forwarded it to the parties in the hope of being cooperative with the prosecutor's investigation process.

"We hope that the investigators who are summoned can cooperate and answer what investigators question regarding the case," he said.

The land used for the Samota MXGP circuit is 70 hectares. The land worth Rp53 billion was purchased with a regional budget. The purchase of the land took place in 2023. The government bought it from the owner of the land, which is the former East Lombok Regent Ali Bin Dachlan.
