Ahok: I Am Responsible For The Victory Of Mas Pram And Bang Rano

JAKARTA - Former DKI Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) emphasized that he has a responsibility to participate in winning Pramono Anung and Rano Karno in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

This was revealed by Ahok considering that he is the Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the PDI-P (PDIP). Ahok claimed to be responsible for giving directions to Pramono-Rano to become a candidate for leadership who could benefit the citizens of Jakarta.

"I am the DPP who supports Mas Pram and Bang Rano. So, I am also responsible for the victory of Mas Pram and Bang Rano. It is also not only responsible for winning, but how Mas Pram and Bang Rano can be the best governors and deputy governors in Jakarta," Ahok said when meeting Pramono-Rano at Simpang Semanggi, Central Jakarta, Thursday, September 19.

According to Ahok, if he is later elected as Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta, Pramono-Rano must be able to provide a good legacy. The benefits of the demographic bonus, which peaks in 2030, must be nurtured by Pramono-Rano through government policies.

"Well, we want all human resources with the existing money, with the existing ideas, how the local government and the private sector, with the citizens of Jakarta, can cooperate with each other. Yes, of course we are obliged to be candidates from the PDIP of course we have to leave a good legacy," said Ahok.

Ahok revealed the reason he met Pramono-Rano in the Semanggi Interchange area. Ahok wants to show that Simpang Semanggi is an example of infrastructure development that provides value for the community.

Jika bakal pasangan cagub-cawagub Jakarta usungan PDIP ini memenangkan Pilkada 2024, Ahok berharap Pramono-Rano bisa melanjutkan pola pembangunan infrastruktur seperti yang ia lakukan pada Simpang Susun Semanggi.

"So, I think this is what Mas Pram and Bang Rano will continue their cooperation with the private sector which can benefit all stakeholders," said Ahok.

Ahok explained that the Semanggi Interchange was built without using a penny budget. Ahok built the Semanggi Interchange with the building floor coefficient (KLB) obligation fund from a Japanese company, Mori Building Company.

"I say this is not a CSR (corporate social responsibility). Many people think this is the construction of a CSR, no. This is an obligation of a Japanese company. This is a study from his team from Tarumanegara University. So the policy we make is to benefit all parties," he concluded.
