Victims Of Bullying SMA Binus Simprug Complain To DPR, Ask For Justice And CCTV Evidence To Be Revealed

JAKARTA - Victims of bullying or bullying cases at Binus Simprug High School, South Jakarta, Rafiq Elvian (RE) complained about what happened to Komis III of the DPR and the Public Hearing Meeting (RDPU) at the DPR building.

Elvian admitted that since he first entered school at Binus Simprug in November 2023, he had no friends at all. In fact, on his first day of school, he hopes to be well accepted.

"I introduce myself. My name is Elvian, I am a new child here. I hope I can get acquainted and be well received here. I really hope I can make the name of the school, the name of the Indonesian nation. I hope I can cooperate with other students," said Elvian incorrectly giving a statement in the DPR Commission III meeting room, Tuesday, September 17.

"But in reality, when I first entered school, in November 2023, I had received verbal bullying which never stopped. Always bullied in public, in front of male students, in front of female students, even in front of teachers. They even abused me in my first month at school," he continued.

Elvian was surprised that the school did not admit any CCTV footage related to the beatings and sexual harassment he reported. In fact, he said, CCTV footage evidence was clear that he received acts of violence from other students.

"In November 2023, it was clearly exposed and even I think it was on CCTV. But why has the school never revealed the CCTV? Why does the school only show evidence or videos that only benefit their side and can turn all the facts around?" he said in a trembling voice.

Therefore, Elvian hopes that Commission III of the DPR can help deal with the problem of bullying in Binus Simprug so that no other students experience the same thing.

The reason is, according to Elvian, there are several children of the perpetrators of bullying who are children of a member of the DPR, party chairman and officials of the Constitutional Court (MK).

"I'm just a nation's son who can hope for justice and represent the victims of bullying out there. From the start, my genitals were held in front of women, in front of men. My genitals were held, my buttocks was held, in front of the class, in public," said Elvian.

"In fact, there are a lot of CCTVs there, I'm sure it's definitely a lot of CCTV there. In November the date of my first day of school, the next day it was treated like that."

Previously, SMA Binus School Simprug, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta denied any students of sexual beatings and harassment reported by a student with the initials RE (16).

In his rebuttal, Binus School Simprug also opened CCTV footage showing the incident on January 30 and 31, 2024.

"That based on the CCTV we see, later we will turn on the CCTV, it turns out that what happened there was the term that this student agreed to box," said Binus School Simprug attorney, Otto Hasibuan, Saturday, September 14.

In the video, it can be seen that RE was hit by a boxing first, but after that he responded by throwing several punches at the opponent. However, there are students who come to break up the fight.

"Well, we'll see, so they asked to fight, there was no beating. So one-on-one fought after that was over," he said.
