Junior High School Students In Russia Attack Teachers Using Palu And Pisau, Four People Injured

JAKARTA - A student carrying a hammer and knife attacked a teacher and student at a junior high school in the city of Chelyabinsk in Russia on Monday, injuring a number of people, local Governor Alexey Teksler said.

"An incident occurred at School No. 68 in Chelyabinsk. A student attacked another student and a teacher. There were (four) injured victims. They have been hospitalized and are currently receiving medical treatment," said Teksler on Telegram, as reported by Antara.

According to him, the chronology of how the student managed to bring the hammer to the school and the reason why the security officers did not respond to the action was still unknown.

"The law enforcement agency, mayor, and commissioner of human rights children visited the scene and the investigation is still ongoing," said the texter.

Four injured victims who were hospitalized are now in stable condition, the local health ministry told the Sputnik news agency.

They are three 13-year-olds and one teacher.
