He said the Manunggal Air program was to support agricultural irrigation as well as a source of clean water that people need in their daily lives.

In addition, he said, water is a basic need in life. Water shortages can trigger various social and health problems, including stunting and malnutrition.

"Currently, some Indonesians still do not have access to clean water. Therefore, the TNI is focused on helping provide clean water, because water is a source of life and is important for sanitation and agriculture," he said.

Maruli stated that he supports the efforts of the local government in the project to print rice fields and develop agricultural land

In the future, he said, the TNI together with the Ministry of Defense and local governments will continue to collaborate on projects that directly provide benefits to the community.

On that occasion, the Army Chief of Staff also handed over wheelchairs to residents with disabilities and provided 500 food packages to people in need, as a tangible form of the TNI AD's commitment to support the welfare of the people.
