Tourists Die In Puncak, Bogor Regency Government Will Arrange Tourist Areas

Acting Regent of Bogor Asmawa Tosepu expressed his condolences to one tourist from Bambu Apus, East Jakarta with the initials NM (56) who died allegedly due to exhaustion while on vacation in the Puncak tourist area, Bogor Regency, West Java.

"First, I express my condolences to the families of tourists who died in the Puncak tourist area," said Asmawa Tosepu, Antara Monday, September 16.

He revealed that this incident caught the attention of the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) in structuring the Puncak area as a leading tourist destination.

"We are trying to make a comprehensive and integrated tourist area with various existing facilities and visitors are needed," said Asmawa.

He hopes that the high enthusiasm of the community to visit Puncak will increase the enthusiasm of the Bogor Regency Government to maximize the arrangement of the tourist area.

"Because through this arrangement we are determined to make Puncak back as beautiful as 20-30 years ago," he said.

Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, AKP Rizky Guntama, explained that NM died when he was about to return home after traveling from Agro Wisata Gunung Mas, Cisarua, on Sunday night, September 15.

"When he finished from the Argo tour, when he was on the bus he felt dizzy, then shortness of breath, after that the foam came out, when he was evacuated to the mosque, he died at the mosque, that's the story," said Rizky.

He revealed that at that time the bus that NM was traveling in was still in the Gunung Mas Tourism Agro area, so the evacuation process could run easily. NM was evacuated from the bus to the mosque in Agro Wisata Gunung Mas.

Rizky suspects that the middle-aged woman has a congenital or comorbid disease. He also confirmed that NM died not because of the difficulty of evacuating due to traffic jams.

"No, not because of the evacuation on the road, no. But when he was evacuated to the mosque, he died at the mosque," he said.

The Bogor Police Traffic Unit recorded as many as 140 thousand vehicles ranging from two wheels to six wheels crossing the Puncak tourist route for 24 hours on Sunday, September 15.

Meanwhile, the Head of Operational Development Affairs (KBO) of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, Iptu Ardian, explained that his party implemented traffic engineering on the Puncak tourist route during the long holiday commemorating the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.

He explained that the traffic engineering that was applied was in the form of an odd-even vehicle system and system one or one way.

"We carry out the implementation situationally, see the progress and increase in the volume of incoming vehicles," said Ardian.

He said the increase in the flow of vehicles on the Puncak tourist route during the long holiday this time was quite high.
