Police Escort Ambulance Transporting Tourists Died In Puncak Bogor Area

JAKARTA - The process of evacuating the body of an elderly woman named Nimih (56) a tourist from Gunung Mas Agrotourism was escorted by the Bogor Police Traffic Unit in accordance with the SOP which was on Sunday night, September 15.

Bogor Police Traffic Head AKP Rizky Guntama confirmed that there was an escort from the Bogor Police Traffic Unit against the ambulance when evacuating the tourists who died. The escort is carried out according to the SOP.

The evacuation process for the victim's body began when members of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit received information that someone had died.

"We also got information from media friends if someone died. We cross-checked whether it was true, someone died. Then we looked for an ambulance from Gunung Mas," said AKP Rizky when confirmed by VOI, Monday, September 16.

After getting an ambulance, the body was picked up using an ambulance escorted by members of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit.

"We got an ambulance, then we boyong it at 12 pm. We boyong it to the toll road towards Jakarta," he said.

AKP Rizky said that the escort of the ambulance was in accordance with the SOP. According to him, if there is an ambulance containing both minor injuries and serious and even critical injuries, it is always prioritized.

"Although one way is being implemented, we will definitely prioritize it. For those who are critical, we will monitor it to what point is needed. Either to the hospital or to the direction of Jakarta," he said.

During the process of escorting the bodies, AKP Rizky explained, his party deployed a number of personnel at each point of obstruction to break down the density of vehicles when the ambulance was about to pass.

"The evacuation of each obstacle has Satlantas personnel. Then only one motorized guard is carried out. But every point is assisted for smooth running," he said.

When the incident occurred, members of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit had also deployed 120 Satlantas personnel to unravel congestion in the Puncak area, Bogor.

"So, for example, if there is such an urgency, everyone will participate to help. For the inhibition point, our personnel are plotted there. So when the vehicle wants to pass, it will be prioritized for the vehicle first, the vehicle lane," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the Bogor Police denied that an elderly female tourist named Nimih (56) died due to being stuck in traffic jams in the Puncak area, Bogor, West Java, which occurred on Sunday night, September 15.

Head of Traffic at the Bogor Police, AKP Rizky Guntama, explained that the chronology of tourists dying was not because they were stuck in traffic jams.
