Biden Says Putin Will Not Win Ukraine's War

JAKARTA - United States President Joe Biden said Russian President Vladimir Putin would not survive his war on Ukraine.

"The US is committed to supporting you in helping Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression attacks. It is clear that Putin will not win this war. The Ukrainian people will win," Biden said when meeting British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

When asked about Putin's comments about the potential for direct war with Russia, Biden said: "I don't think much about Vladimir Putin."

In addition to Ukraine, Biden, who hosted Starmer at the White House, said the two government leaders would discuss efforts to secure a deal in the Middle East, release of hostages, immediate ceasefire, and increase access to humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

"And third, we will discuss the Indo-Pacific. There is no more important region for our future, and I am very proud of our AUKUS partnership with Australia, the last three years, we have made this region free, open, and secure," he added, referring to the partnership. Australia, Britain, and the US.

This is the second time Starmer has come to the White House to meet Biden. The results of the meeting will be released after a meeting of the leaders.
