BATAM - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Lingga Regency has started the recruitment process for the Supervisory of Voting Places (PTPS) for the 2024 Pilkada.
"We will recruit 233 PTPS to oversee the voting in Lingga Regency," said Head of Bawaslu Lingga Vidya Asrina when contacted in Batam, Saturday.
This recruitment is carried out simultaneously and nationally by Bawaslu, in accordance with existing technical instructions (juknis).

Vidya explained that recruitment in Lingga was carried out through two methods, namely online announcements via websites and social media, as well as manually with direct notifications to villages by the Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) in the District.
"We ensure that each village is notified directly, to ensure all areas are covered and information is delivered properly," he said.
For the placement of PTPS, he stated that prioritizing supervisors from the domicile area of each sub-district, unless there is a vacancy of candidates or does not meet the requirements.
"The placement will follow the stages and rules that apply, as well as pay attention to the feasibility of the supervisory candidate," he added.
With this step, Bawaslu Lingga hopes that the supervision of the upcoming Pilkada will run smoothly and democratically.
