The first electric connection was symbolically carried out by the Governor of Kaltara, Zainal A. Paliwang, Thursday, September 12.
One of the beneficiaries, Syafruddin, a resident of Bunyu Subdistrict, expressed his gratitude to the Governor for the assistance he had received.
"Thank you very much, Mr. Governor, for the help of our host, we are clearly electrified," said Syafruddin.
Governor Zainal revealed that this program aims to ensure that all people, especially underprivileged, can enjoy electricity facilities.
"With the assistance of installing free electricity, there are no more people who do not enjoy and benefit from electricity," he said.
To note, this BPBL program has been distributed to 366 families in Bulungan Regency, including 33 families in Bunyu District.
Governor Zainal also hopes that this electricity connection will not only function as lighting, but also be a driving force for improving the economy and the welfare of the local community.
"Hopefully this electricity installation assistance can be useful for the community," said Zainal.
