Gibran Was Quick To Respond To Citizen Complaints, Reviewed The Warehouse And Found Maggots To Chicken Bones

SOLO - The Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, was quick to inspect the warehouse located on Sumpah Pemuda Street, Banjasari. Gibran's move was carried out after receiving complaints from residents who smelled a bad smell from the warehouse.

"As soon as possible, the warehouse owner will be asked for information and parse a solution to get rid of the odor that disturbs residents", said Gibran as quoted from his personal Instagram, @gibran_rakabuming, Tuesday, March 30.

Gibran was accompanied by the Head of Banjarsari Urban Village, Endang Wahyuni, and the Head of Neighborhood Association (RT) to survey the location. From the information obtained, the warehouse was operated to store cardboard boxes.

However, from the information of the residents, it is different because it is used as a storage area for chicken bones and feathers.

"It's true that in the yard of the warehouse, there is still a lot of bone and chicken feathers left over. Even though when my group and I arrived, the garbage had been cleaned, the smell was still strong", explained Gibran.

Especially during the rainy season, according to the eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) the smell is getting worse.

"In front of the warehouse there are also many maggots, of course, this is very bad for the environment", said Gibran.

Apart from inspecting the warehouse, Gibran and his entourage also saw an intersection at Pemuda Street, Banjarsari. Heavy vehicles often use this route with the help of APILL (Traffic Signaling Tool) to get through the inclines. Based on this problem, Gibran stated that he had to coordinate with the Transportation Agency regarding the installation of APIL.
