Former Head Of The Agricultural Quarantine Agency And 6 Other Witnesses Were Questioned By The KPK Regarding The Procurement Of X-Ray

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined seven witnesses related to allegations of corruption in the procurement of x-ray machines at the Agricultural Quarantine Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 10-11. One of them is the former Head of the Bambang Quarantine Agency who was questioned about the procurement process.

"The examination was carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Thursday, September 12.

Tessa detailed that the seven witnesses were civil servants with the initials ASH, AJH, KL, S, and B; General Manager of PT Rajawali Nusindo, C; and WSND who are retired ministries.

Meanwhile, based on the information obtained, they are Alex Sofyan Hadi as a civil servant; Ali Jamil Harahap who is the Director General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities (PSP) of the Ministry of Agriculture; and JFPPBJ Muda-General Bureau and Procurement 2014-2024 Karol Lesmana.

Then another witness is Sahronih as a civil servant of the National Quarantine Agency; General Manager of the Institution of PT Rajawali Nusindo, Christyarsih; Bambang as Head of the Agricultural Quarantine Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture for the period 2021-2023 or Deputy for the Quarantine of Plants of the Quarantine Agency; and Wawan Setiawan Nazmuddin Dimyati who is a retired Ministry of Agriculture.

"The witnesses were investigated regarding their knowledge, chronology, and role in the process of procuring X-rays at the Agricultural Quarantine Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan)," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption in the procurement of static x-rays, mobile x-rays, and x-ray trailers or containers at the Ministry of Agriculture's Agricultural Quarantine Agency (Kementan). A total of six people have been prevented from leaving the country, namely WH, IP, MB, SUD, CS and RF.

One of the six people is the former Secretary of the Quarantine Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture Wisnu Haryana. This prevention was requested by the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights based on Decree Number 1064 of 2024 and valid for six months.

In this case, the anti-corruption commission said state losses allegedly reached Rp82 billion. However, this number could change because the auditors are still calculating for sure.
