JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned three witnesses in the alleged corruption case of land acquisition in Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, East Jakarta. One of those summoned was DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan's subordinate, Ahmad Giffari.

Ahmad Gifarri serves as Head of Transportation, Property, and Finance for the DKI Jakarta Provincial BUMD Development Agency.

The KPK will also examine two other people, namely Marketing Staff at KJPP Wahyono Adi and Partners, Ucu Samsul Arifin, and Operations Manager of PT Adonara Propertindo, Anton Adisaputro.

"The investigation was carried out at the KPK Office, Jalan Kuningan Persada Kavling, Setiabudi, South Jakarta", said KPK spokesman for prosecution Ali Fikri in a written statement, Tuesday, March 30.

It is not yet known what investigators will dig up. However, the witnesses summoned by the anti-graft commission are suspected of knowing about the case being investigated.

Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating a corruption case related to land acquisition in Munjul, Pondok Ranggon Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta. This land will later be used to build houses with a down payment or Rumah DP Rp.0, which is a program of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

Although it has not been announced, based on the summons for a witness, in this case, four suspects have been named by the KPK. The first suspect is the Director of the Regional Public Company Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Yoory Corneles, who has now been retired from his position.

Apart from that, the KPK also named two private parties, Anja Runtuwene, and Tommy Ardian as suspects. Not only that, but the KPK also determined a corporation, namely PT Adonara Propertindo.

The four suspects are suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph 1 or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes junto Article 55 Paragraph 1-1 of the Criminal Code.
