Blessmiyanda, Who Was Silent After Anies Opened Her Voice About Allegations Of Sexual Harassment To Her Employees

JAKARTA - Since March 22, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has temporarily suspended the Head of the Jakarta Capital City Goods and Services Procurement Agency (BPPBJ), Blessmiyanda from his post.

On March 24, Bless admitted that he was temporarily released because he was being investigated by the DKI Inspectorate regarding a case. However, Bless said the inspection was related to its performance.

"Yes, he will be temporarily discharged. As for the material (case), I may not be able to convey it. In general, (the examination) is related to performance," said Bless, Wednesday, March 24.

Until finally, the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) confirmed that Blessmiyanda sexually harassed one of its employees. LPSK Deputy Chairman Edwin Partogi said this information was confirmed by LPSK sources who came from the DKI Provincial Government. However, Edwin was reluctant to mention who confirmed this.

"I have received information from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, confirming it," said Edwin when contacted, Thursday, March 25.

Continuing, Deputy Chairperson of LPSK Maneger Nasution asked the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan to anticipate potential career threats from civil servants who were allegedly harassed by Blessmiyanda.

The potential threats that victims and witnesses may receive, for example, threats related to career or position. This threat, Maneger's eyes, is very likely to be accepted by victims and witnesses in addition to physical threats and legal threats.

Maneger continued, do not let threats related to career and position prevent this case from being revealed. "Do not let the victim become a criminal victim, still become a victim again related to his status as a civil servant," said Maneger.

Anies opened his voice

After the LPSK "shouted", Anies finally opened his voice and confirmed that Blessmiyanda had allegedly harassed DKI BPPBJ employees. Through a written statement, Anies said that this case was the basis for his decision to temporarily suspend Bless from his position.

"We are doing the deactivation of the Head of BPPBJ to ensure that the inspection and investigation process can be carried out by the Inspectorate of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government quickly, thoroughly and fairly for all parties involved," said Anies on Monday, March 29.

Anies stated that he would impose strict sanctions on all levels of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government for covering up cases of alleged sexual harassment, including Blessmiyanda.

"If in the examination it is found that there was a violation, then the reported party and all those who cover up the facts during the examination process will be given strict sanctions in accordance with the applicable regulations," said Anies.

He emphasized that there is no tolerance for immoral acts within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, and justice will be upheld for any violations.

"Our attitude at the DKI Provincial Government is clear that we will not tolerate immoral acts that injure the values and integrity of the DKI Provincial Government, and also violate the oath of office to uphold the dignity of civil servants," said Anies.

Anies ensured that he placed the protection of victims who were reporters as the top priority. Psychological and legal assistance is provided to whistleblowers under the coordination of the DKI Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control Office (DPPAPP), in collaboration with the Integrated Service Center for the Empowerment of Women and Children (P2TP2A).

"We ensure that the reporter gets protection, assistance and recovery. All these procedures will be carried out in accordance with the applicable guidelines from the DPPAPP and P2TP2A, "he said.

Blessmiyanda is economical

Responding to Anies' claim regarding the alleged sexual harassment, Blessmiyanda was reluctant to comment. In fact, previously he confirmed that the examinations that were carried out were related to his performance.

"The governor has already given a statement, yes (I) have no comment," Bless said when contacted.

Bless admitted that he would comment if the results of the inspection at the DKI Inspectorate had been completed. He respects Anies's decision to want the alleged sexual harassment case to be investigated completely.

"If I talk now, the impression is to defend myself and precede the results of the examination," he said.
