JAKARTA - The police have conducted a urine check on Danovan Sembiring Meliala. As a result, the man tested positive for methamphetamine.

Danovan Sembiring Meliala is a man who went viral because he threatened and pointed sharp weapons at the public and the police.

"Yes (the results of the examination tested positive for methamphetamine)," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly to VOI, Saturday, September 7.

Currently, Danovan Sembiring Meliala has been secured. However, he was temporarily taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital. This was done to check the mentality of the man.

"Now being treated at the Police Hospital. Waiting for the results of the psychiatric examination," said Nicolas.

Danovan Sembiring Meliala had gone viral on social media for threatening members of Bhabinkamtibmas or Binmas Pulogadung Police using sharp weapons.

The threatening action using sharp weapons took place on Jalan Kayu Putih, Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta on Thursday, September 5.

However, the Pulogadung Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to arrest and secure him on Friday, September 6.
