JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the transfer process to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) in East Kalimantan (Kaltim) must be completely ready.

"Everything must be seen, all facilities are ready. Some are ready, some are not. We will move if we are really ready. We will continue to go there for 3-4 days for the consolidation of the Head of the IKN Authority, because moving large jobs is not as easy as imagined," said President Jokowi, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, September 6.

President Jokowi said moving to IKN was whether the house was ready, whether the apartment was ready, whether the water was ready, and the electricity was ready.

"Because everything builds an ecosystem and is expected for community interaction among residents to live in IKN. All communities live, including economy, social, culture," said President Jokowi.

Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas previously said that the transfer of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to IKN is waiting for the development of digital infrastructure to be completed.

Azwar said President Jokowi did not want to rush into deciding on the transfer of ASN, because he was still waiting for the improvement of digital infrastructure.

"Because if ASN goes to IKN, it's not just a matter of changing offices, but changing digital culture, so digital infrastructure is finished and so on," said Azwar Anas when giving a statement at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Azwar explained that the flats for ASN are ready to be inhabited by ASN who are starting to move gradually.

However, President Jokowi, said Azwar, gave directions that the transfer of this officeed ASN was waiting for the readiness of offices and their digital system.
