Wealth Review of Stagnant Attorney General's Staff Jelita Jeje's In-Laws Completed by KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has completed a review of the assets of state administrators (LHKPN) Asri Agung Putra who is an official at the Attorney General's Office.

This step was taken after Asri's LHKPN was highlighted by Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) because the number was the same in 2020 and 2021. There was no increase or decrease during that year or stagnation amounting to Rp3,495,200,407.

"It's (completed the review process, ed)," said KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan to VOI, Thursday, September 5.

Pahala did not want to elaborate on the results of the review. He said the KPK would first convey it to the Attorney General's Office.

"And (the results, ed) are coordinated with the Attorney General's Office," he said.

Meanwhile, when asked about the clarification efforts after the review process was carried out, Pahala did not want to talk much. He said, this process depends on the results of the coordination.

Asri Agung Putra, who is the Expert Staff of the Attorney General, has been in the spotlight after his son-in-law, Dwi Okta Jelita or Jelita Jeje showed off the alleged receipt of gratuities. This statement came when he defended President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) son-in-law, Kaesang Pangarep and his wife, Erina Gudono, who had a fantastic chartered jet.

The celebrity admitted that her father-in-law said that their family trips abroad were often sponsored by entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, Jelita is also the wife of Farid Irfan Sidik, who serves as Head of the Bintan Free Trade Area (BP).

As an official, her husband apparently has never reported his wealth since 2022 or during his tenure. As a result, the KPK sent a letter asking him to carry out his obligations as a state administrator.

"Ehh, for a moment, private jets have been proven, it's not a private jet belonging to the state, after all, in the same class as the president, going for a walk, it's not a personal pocket, x Aplgi, the state money (this is the thought of ordinary people who don't know) so that state officials are linked to the state money. That's not the case," said Jelita Jeje in a message sent via DM via the Instagram account @jelitajee when defending Kaesang and Erina which was then viralized by the X account, @anibutnotanianiani.
