Jufri Budiman Temporary Chairperson Of The Kaltara DPRD

TANJUNG SELOR - Jufri Budiman was appointed as interim chairman of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of North Kalimantan Province (Kaltara).

This decision was read out by the Secretary of the North Kalimantan DPRD, Mohammad Pandi after the oath and promise of members of the Kaltara DPRD for the period 2024-2029, Wednesday, September 4.

"As the Temporary Chairperson of the Kalrara DPRD for the 2024-2029 term of office from the Gerindra Party, namely Jufri Budiman and Muhamad Nasir from the Golkar Party as Deputy Chairperson of the Kaltara DPRD for the 2024-2029 term," said Secretary of the Kaltara DPRD, M Fandi.

Fandi explained that if the DPRD leadership had not yet been formed, the Council would be led by a temporary leader. This is regulated in Law (UU) Number 23 of 2024 Article 112 paragraph (1).

"The provisional leadership of the Provincial DPRD consists of one chairman and one vice chairman. They come from the political party that won the first and second most votes from the 2024 Provincial DPRD (Pileg)," he explained.

The secretary, the interim chairman of the Kaltara DPRD, Jufri Budiman, revealed that the initial task that will be carried out is to form a faction and board equipment (AKD).

"In addition to chairing the meeting until there is a definitive leader, we will form a faction and discuss the rules and regulations of the council," explained the man who is familiarly called JB.

"We will try to complete within 1 month the North Kalimantan DPRD AKD has been completed," he continued.

This Gerindra politician said the number of factions of the North Kalimantan DPRD would change from the previous period.

"Those who can already form their own factions are Gerindra, Golkar, Democrats and PKS. Parties whose seats are below 4 seats will form a joint faction," said JB.

He emphasized that all DPRD members will follow the orientation or technical guidance period (Bimtek) scheduled by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).

"There are about 23 new face council members, some have served in 2014. All are still required to follow the technical guidelines scheduled for September 23," he said.

His party will carry out the mandate and duties given by the people of Kaltara, especially to the Gerindra Party who assigned him as the interim chairman of the Kaltara DPRD.

"I will carry out my mandate and responsibility as interim chairman as best I can, I hope that later I will be able to work well together with members of the DPRD and the Provincial Government of Kaltara," he said.
