NTT Police Sanction Former KBO Reskrim Polresta Ipda Rudi Soik

KUPANG - The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda) gave sanctions to the former Kupang City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Ipda Rudi Soik, who was caught red-handed in a violation of the code of ethics.

"When Rudi Soik was found, along with a member of the Police from the Kupang City Police, he was with two women who were members of the NTT Regional Police, at karaoke places during business hours," said Head of Public Relations of the NTT Police, Kombes Ariasandy, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 2.

After being caught red-handed and examined, Ipda Rudi Soik admitted that he was at a karaoke place to conduct an evaluation analysis (Anev) related to the investigation into the misuse of diesel fuel.

However, after examining three other alleged violators, they stated that they were not aware of any of the anev activities.

"The case has been tried, and Ipda Rudi Soik has been given sanctions based on a violation of the code of ethics," said the former South Central Timor Police Chief (TTS).

Meanwhile, two members of the NTT Policewomen and one member of the Kupang City Police are currently out of the trial, but this case is still in progress.

"Ipda Rudi Soik has been processed through the Police Code of Ethics Session on August 21-28, 2024. He was sentenced to ethical sanctions in the form of statements of behavior of violators as a disgraceful act, verbal apologies to the National Police institution and the aggrieved parties, as well as administrative sanctions in the form of placement in a special place for 14 days and mutation of demotion outside the NTT Regional Police for three years," he explained.

Araisandy said that he had never mentioned Rudi Soik having an affair and would also be transferred to Papua, because the transfer of position was the authority of the National Police Headquarters.

He also said that in imposing sanctions, the Code of Ethics Commission considered mitigating and burdensome things in imposing sanctions.

"Things that are mitigating include the 19-year service period of Ipda Rudi Soik. However, the aggravating things include complicated attitudes in providing information, awareness of the prohibition norms contained in the Police code of ethics, as well as track records of previous disciplinary violations," he said.

In addition, Ipda Rudi Soik is also undergoing examination of disciplinary violations and violations of the National Police's professional code of ethics related to several other cases, such as defamation of Polri members, leaving the place of duty without permission, and unprofessionalism in the subsidized fuel investigation.

Based on a special information report from the NTT Regional Police Subbidpaminal, Ipda Rudi Soik is suspected of installing police lines (Police Line) on drums and empty jerry cans in two different locations.

Subbidwabprof Bidpropam Polda NTT then conducted an investigative audit related to the unprofessionalism in the investigation.

The audit results revealed that there was an unprofessionalism in the investigation carried out by Ipda Rudi Soik and other members, who did not involve related units and did not comply with standard operating procedures.

Meanwhile, Kanit I Subdid Paminal Bid Prompam Polda NTT Iptu Andre, admitted that he was the one who carried out the OTT on Rudy Soik and three other suspects.

"I make sure that only four people are in that room, two members of the Polresta, including Rudi and also two members of the Polwan Polda NTT, while a number of other Polresta members are not around the karaoke place," he said.
