KPU Examines Documents For Administration Requirements For 3 Paslon Pilkada Jakarta

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) examines the administrative requirements of the regional head candidate pair (paslon) in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor Election.

"A number of files that we examine, such as diplomas or other supporting documents such as debt-free letters or not, have never been convicted, have never been revoked," said Chairman of the Jakarta KPU, Wahyu Dinata, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 2.

According to him, this stage is to ensure the truth of the documents attached by the three pairs of candidates and if there is something missing, it will be submitted to the candidate pair team.

"There will be a document repair stage given to the candidate pairs whose conditions are still incomplete. We also open up space for the public to respond to these three pairs of candidates," he said.

He emphasized that if there is a candidate pair who has not attached the administrative requirements needed, it will be conveyed to the public as a form of transparency to the public.

Meanwhile, regarding the state official's wealth report (LHKPN), Wahyu said that all candidate pairs had attached their wealth reports to the DKI Jakarta KPU.

"We just accept it and we will cross-check whether they are limited to reporting or have reported their assets," he said.

According to Wahu, after conducting research, his party will notify the candidate pairs of regional heads in the 2024 DKI Pilgub on 5-6 September 2024.

"If there are conditions for a poor nomination, the candidate pair must complete it as a condition for the administrative completeness of the regional head candidate," he said.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) stated that three candidate pairs of regional heads in the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election passed the results of examinations and health research by the Examining Team at Tarakan Hospital from August 30 to September 1, 2024.

"The team of health examinations and researchers concluded that the three pairs of candidates were able to be physically and mentally and free of narcotics," said Wahyu.

He said the pair Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana have the ability physically and spiritually to carry out their duties and authorities as governors and deputy governors.

"In principle, the examining team and researchers from the Tarakan Hospital have concluded the end. We have two days to provide input to candidate pairs regarding the completeness of the administrative files for their candidacy requirements," he said.
