3 Jakarta Pilkada Paslon Passes Health Test

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) stated that three pairs of candidates (paslon) for regional heads at the DKI Jakarta Governor's Office passed the results of the examination and health research by the Examining Team at Tarakan Hospital from August 30 to September 1, 2024.

"The examination team and health researchers concluded that the three pairs of candidates were able to be physically and mentally and free of narcotics," said KPU Jakarta Chairman Wahyu Dinata as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 2.

He said the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno pair, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana have the ability physically and spiritually to carry out their duties and authorities as governors and deputy governors.

"In principle, the examining team and researchers from the Tarakan Hospital have concluded the end. We have two days to provide input to candidate pairs regarding the completeness of the administrative files for their candidacy requirements," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding Ridwan Kamil's wife who was affected by COVID-19, he stated that his party had coordinated with a team of doctors and the Tarakan Hospital had its own procedures by conducting a "polymerase chain reaction" (PCR) test.

"It was 'firm' (clear) and Ridwan Kamil was able to follow the stage of the medical examination and the results have come out," he said.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) received the results of a health check conducted by the examining team and researchers of the three candidate pairs of the 2024 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"Today we received the results of the examination from the examination team and the health assessment of the candidate pair and will be followed up in the examination and research on administrative completeness requirements," said Wahyu Dinata.

The Jakarta KPU has held health checks on 30-31 August and 1 September 2024 and today is the delivery of the results of a team of doctors who stated that this couple is capable or not physically and mentally and free of drugs in carrying out their duties and authorities as regional heads

"After this result is opened, the KPU will submit a notification of research on administrative requirements for candidate pairs through the Candidate Application (Silon) on September 5-6 and if there is data that is lacking, the couple must complete it in order to pass the administrative research of candidate pairs," he said.

"This is an independent result and chaired by the examination team and assessing the candidate pair," he said.

Meanwhile, DKI Jakarta KPU member Dody Wijaya said that the delivery of the results of the health checks received by the KPU in the form of being capable or incapable, fit or unfit, was appropriate or inappropriate.

"Prospective couples must be able to physically and mentally carry out their duties and authorities and this result is a general conclusion on the health picture of the candidate pair," he said.

Director of Tarakan Hospital drg. Dian Ekowati, MARS stated that her party had conducted health checks and studies on three pairs of candidates on August 30, August 31 and September 1, 2024.

"We carried out a'medical check-up' according to the provisions of the KPU and everything went smoothly and succeeded in implementing principle in the examination," said Head of the examining team and researcher dr. Djati Sagoro, Sp.PD.

He said the candidates also implemented professionalism in all stages carried out.

"All candidate pairs have gone through the examination stage," he said.
