JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR)/Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono stated, as many as 117 million plots of land have been registered with certification of the target of 120 million plots of land for the Complete Systematic Land Registration program (PTSL).

"As of today, around 117 million (land parcels) have been registered by PTSL nationally from our target of completing until the end of 2024 as much as 120 million plots of land," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, September 1.

Although there are only three months left in this year's tenure, the Minister of ATR is optimistic that this target can be achieved.

He admitted that the land registration process was not always easy and needed thorough verification to ensure there were no problems.

He reminded the importance of public awareness in participating in the PTSL program because by having a land certificate, it will provide legal certainty for the community for their land rights.

The Minister of ATR hopes that the community will continue to support the PTSL program and actively participate in land registration. With this support, it is hoped that the land certification target can be achieved and provide broad benefits for the entire community.

"God willing, we will continue to pursue it, it is not always easy, the name of land registration must also be convinced first. The important thing is that the public has the awareness to follow the PTSL program so that they have legal certainty over land by having an original certificate," said the Minister of ATR.

The Minister of ATR continues to focus on accelerating land certification and eradicating the land mafia in the remainder of the President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) administration.

The Ministry of ATR/BPN continues to strive to expand the scope of the PTSL program. A total of 104 cities/regencies in Indonesia are targeted for complete certification by 2024, including those that can serve electronically.

According to AHY, this PTSL program is important not only to provide justice to the community, but also to provide an investment climate full of legal certainty, especially related to land and spatial planning.

PTSL is a government program initiated since 2017 aimed at increasing legal certainty over land ownership rights and preventing land disputes in the future.

AHY said he was also committed to resolving various land mafia cases.

The Ministry of ATR/BPN will carry out the target entrusted by President Jokowi, including the revision of government regulations (PP) related to the issuance of business rights (HGU) for carbon trading purposes.
