Head of Public Relations of the East Nusa Tenggara Police, Kombes Pol Ariasandy, said that the former KBO Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kupang City Police, Ipda Rudi Soik, was threatened with being transferred out of NTT for visiting entertainment venues with people's wives during official hours.

He said that Ipda Rudi Soik had already undergone trial because he was arrested at a karaoke place along with a woman who was the wife of a person during the Police service hours.

The articles that were violated were Article 13 paragraph (1) and/or Article 14 paragraph (1) letter b of Government Regulation Number 1 of 2003 concerning the dismissal of members of the National Police junto article 5 paragraph (1) letters b and letters c and/or article 8 letter f of Perpol 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission.

However, he said there were things that could ease his sentence because he had served the police for 19 years.

But there are also those who can incriminate the suspect because he is not cooperative from examination to trial, besides that it is always complicated in examinations and trials.

"While undergoing disciplinary cases and code of ethics and having received disciplinary decisions and code of ethics as many as five cases," he said.

Ariasandy added that the suspect was based on the decision of Commission Number: PUT/32/VIII/2024/KKEP, on August 28, the alleged behavior was also declared a disgraceful act.

In addition, it is also the obligation of violators to apologize verbally before the KKEP trial and in writing to the leadership of the National Police and the injured parties. Currently, the suspect is still being held in a special place for the next 14 days.

"The person concerned has also filed an appeal against the court's decision," he said.
