Starting From Today To Sunday, 3 Paslon Pilkada Jakarta Undergo Health Tests

JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta officially closed the registration of candidates for regional heads who will advance in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election before entering Friday, August 30 in the morning.

Chairman of the DKI Jakarta KPU Wahyu Dinata explained the three pairs of candidates who registered. The three of them are the pair Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana.

After the registration of three candidates for governor and deputy governor is declared complete, they will undergo a gradual medical test at Tarakan Hospital.

Health tests began with Pramono and Rano Karno, Friday, August 30, followed by Ridwan Kamil and Suswono on Saturday, August 31, and Dharma-Kun on Sunday, September 1.

Head of the DKI KPU Technical Division, Doddy Wijaya, previously stated that the sequence of undergoing medical tests was in accordance with their schedule of officially registering as a candidate pair for governor and deputy governor to the KPU.

"So, for example, those who have been confirmed to be present, Mr. Ridwan Kamil and Mr. Suswono, on the 28th, will conduct a medical examination on the 30th," said Doddy.

Previously, these three candidates would have complete status and accepted. So at 23.42 WIB, DKI Jakarta Province, there will be three candidate pairs who will enliven the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.

Chairman of the DKI Jakarta KPU Wahyu Dinata explained that there was additional support for the Pramono-Rano pair from the Hanura Party. So that the couple was promoted by PDIP and Hanura.

In addition, there is an additional support from PKN for the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair. This pair has a total of 14 parties, namely Gerindra, PKS, Golkar, Democrats, NasDem, PSI, PKB, Gelora, PBB, Perindo, PAN, PPP, Garuda and PKN.

Wahyu explained that the addition of political party support before registration was closed was possible in accordance with a circular letter from the Indonesian KPU.

"Broadly speaking, Pramono-Rano is proposed by 2 political parties, PDIP and Hanura. If the percentage of votes is around 14.46 percent. The RK-Suswono pair is now 14 political parties with an accumulation of 83.46 percent of votes," Wahyu added.
