JAKARTA - Deputy Secretary of the PKB DPP Shura Council Maman Imanulhaq gave a signal that his party would form a coalition with PDIP and carry the Ono Surono-Acep Adang Ruhiat pair in the West Java gubernatorial election.

"In the meantime, West Java has not yet determined with whom, although our last discussion was PDIP with PKB, namely Ono with Kiai Acep Adang. But until yesterday we talked at the congress, we actually wanted an additional partner, for example we took it from other candidates," said Maman, Thursday, August 29.

"But to this day we have not been able to act until the last second whether we will also join a couple supported by KIM, namely Dedi Mulyadi-Erwan or we will continue with Ono-Acep Adang. So we are waiting for confirmation," he continued.

Maman said that the consideration of PKB until the final second of registration for the 2024 Pilkada has not yet determined the candidate pair for the West Java gubernatorial election because in some areas the party can carry its own after the Constitutional Court's decision. As in the East Java gubernatorial election which eventually brought its own cadres, namely the Luluk Nur Hamidah-Luqmanul Khakim pair.

"Likewise, West Java, we occupy a fairly significant position, so we are still measuring our considerations with which coalition we will dock. Because this is a matter of our interest to strengthen us in 2029 alone," explained Maman.

Maman said PKB wants to form a coalition with any party as long as the cawagub has Acep Adang Ruhiat. Meanwhile, previously, PKB wanted to pair Ace Adang with PPP politician Sandiaga Uno. However, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy is said to have long responded or late responses.

"Of course, judging from all of that, we still believe that the possibility of Acep Kang is still in the cawagub, whoever the cagub is. From the start we actually gave the opportunity, we asked Sandiaga Uno to become a cagub for West Java from PKB. Now the deputy can be Acep and so on. But we know Sandiaga Uno is a bit late in response like that, so we finally communicated with the Chairman of the DPW in communication with PDIP, some communication with Dedi Mulyadi and so on," said Maman.

"Repotnya, Dedi Mulyadi dari awal memang sudah ingin dengan Golkar. Akhirnya memilih bakal calon bupatinya Sumedang kang Erawan jadi cawagub," sambungnya.

PKB, said Maman, also did not want to force Sandiaga Uno not to be nominated as a West Java cagub. So that the most potentially to invite Acep Adang as cawagub is the candidate that will be promoted by PDIP.
