Gibran Accompanied Luthfi-Taj Yasin's Registration To The Central Java KPUD Wednesday Morning

Elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka accompanied the registration of the candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin Maemonen to the Central Java KPU, Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

The Luthfi-Yasin pair came with a convoy of hundreds of supporters and sympathizers to the Central Java KPU office located on Jalan Veteran, Semarang City.

Nine political parties were registered in the Central Java KPU approval system as the bearer of the Luthfi-Taj Yasin pair in the registration of candidates for the 2024 Pilkada.

The nine supporting parties are each Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, PKS, PKB, Nasdem Party, PAN, PPP, Democratic Party, PSI, Labor Party, Crescent Star Party, and Garuda Party.

Central Java KPU chairman Handi Tri Ujiono said that there were actually 12 parties proposing the Luthfi-Taj Yasin pair.

However, he continued, only nine were recorded in the approval documents received by the KPU.

Furthermore, he said, the KPU would verify the nomination documents and nomination requirements.

"If something is not true, there is still an opportunity to make repairs until September 8, 2024," he said.

On that occasion, the Chairman of the KPU also welcomed the Elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming who took part in the registration.

The coalition of political parties nominated the former Central Java Police Chief Komjen. Pol Ahmad Luthfi as a Candidate for Governor of Central Java and former Central Java Governor Taj Yasin Maemoen as a candidate for Deputy Governor of Central Java.
