Even so, he emphasized that he is currently still part of the Golkar Party cadre even though he has been promoted by the PDI-P for the election of the Governor of Banten in the 2024 Pilkada.
"I am still a Golkar cadre and for me politics is a tool to provide benefits to the community and I have principles," said Airin.
He revealed that his investigation together with the prospective Deputy Governor of Banten, Ade Sumardi, carried out by PDIP, was the result of his efforts to run in the Banten gubernatorial election.
