JAKARTA - Former Minister of Industry Saleh Husin who graduated with thousands of graduates at the University of Indonesia (UI) expressed his desire for his knowledge to be useful to the nation and state.

"Thank God, this afternoon as a UI student I graduated for a strategy study school program for a doctoral program," said Saleh Husin after graduating at Balairung, UI Depok Campus, Saturday.

Saleh said thank God he was able to complete his education at UI which was carried out and full of struggle.

"I feel that the knowledge I got is useful for me to apply to the community," he said.

He said that he was involved in the business world, previously in the government cabinet, so that what he researched was very useful and hopefully could help the government to make a policy that could be useful for the nation and state.

"Success for everything and I pray for my graduates who have not been able to work, hopefully they can get work, for those who have worked even more successfully," he said.

Former Minister of Industry Saleh Husin won the Doctorate's degree at the School of Strategic and Global Studies at the University of Indonesia after successfully maintaining his dissertation, on February 24, 2024.

At the Doctor's Open Promotion Session, Saleh Husin delivered a dissertation entitled 'Hilirization of the Palm Oil Industry to Strengthen the National Economy and Improve Indonesia's Offering Position in World Trade'.

"The test team agreed to appoint Saleh Husin as the doctor of SKSG UI, with a judicial value of Suma cumlaude with IPK 3.96," said Chairman of the SKSG Doctoral Promotion Session UI Athor Subroto.

Athor Subroto said SKSG UI is a competitive and highly attractive study program at UI.

Saleh Husin thanked Alhamdulillah for being able to complete a doctoral program that has received a lot of support from various parties since registering, until the exam went smoothly.

"I am grateful and thank you to various parties who have helped a lot during completing my doctoral program," he said.
