JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly, Lestari Moerdijat, reminded all parties to strictly implement the policy to prohibit the 2021 Lebaran homecoming. So that the results targeted by the government were achieved, namely reducing the number of the spread of COVID-19.

In addition to the ban on going home, according to Rerie, stipulating collective leave of only one day is the right step in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

"Moreover (COVID-19) at this time nationally cannot be said to be under control," said the NasDem politician.

Moreover, continued Rerie, based on the report from the Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Chairman of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery Airlangga Hartarto, currently Indonesia's positivity rate is 11.49 percent. In fact, he said, the World Health Organization (WHO) requires that to be able to say it is controlled, the positivity rate must be below 5 percent.

Therefore, according to Rerie, strict health protocol discipline is very important to implement. Namely by wearing masks, washing hands with soap, maintaining distance and avoiding crowds.

Rerie also reminded that assistance for parties affected by the ban on going home also needs to be prepared. This is so that the community can also carry out the policy.
