PULANG PISAU - Central Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo appreciated the personnel who succeeded in uncovering two cases of violent murder and theft. These two cases caused three female victims to die in one day.

"These two cases stand out and have captured public attention and appreciation is given because the disclosure of the perpetrators of this case was completed within one day," said Dedi Prasetyo at Pulang Pisau, Central Kalimantan, quoted by Antara, Friday, March 26.

Dedi also held a press conference for two prominent cases that had previously troubled the community. First, the case of theft with violence with the suspect Suriansyah (28) which caused the victim Mariati Als Imar (41) to die and her son Wahyudi Als Wahyu (6) suffered serious injuries.

The second case involved the murder of the Sunarsih (64) and Jamiah (50) brothers in a shop on Jalan Trans Kalimantan, Mentaren I Village, Kahayan Hilir Subdistrict. The suspect is named Suparno (48) who is Jamiah's husband.

During a visit at the Pulang Pisau Police, apart from inspecting the integrated service room, Dedi also inaugurated the Command Center which was attended by the Regent of Pulang Pisau, Edy Pratowo. With the establishment of this Command Center, Dedi Prasetyo hopes that this facility can further improve services to the community and assist police duties in the local district.

Dedi also asked the Head of Pulang Pisau Police Head AKBP Yuniar Ariefianto to improve various applications and facilities in it.

The message that Dedi Prasetyo prioritized in front of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) and community leaders in local districts was not to be lax in reminding all parties to always implement health protocols through "5M".

Dedi acknowledged that the community was getting tired of the current conditions with the various impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and only the agricultural sector such as agriculture and plantations continued to experience growth. However, that does not mean that all can ignore health protocols which are mandatory.

"It is hoped that the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) is expected to reduce the number of COVID-19 cases in Central Kalimantan," said Dedi.
