KPK Chairman Warns Regional Heads In Aceh Not To Corruption

BANDA ACEH - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri reminded regional heads in Aceh not to have corruption that could harm the people and the state.

"I also said that no state officials should commit corrupt practices, there should be no more corrupt practices in Aceh," said Firli Bahuri as quoted by Antara, in Banda Aceh, Friday, March 26.

Firli said, the KPK no longer recognizes the sacred Friday, but every day it becomes sacred to corruptors.

According to Firli, corruption is a crime that not only violates the law, but also includes the crime of robbing the people of their rights. According to him, a country will fail if there is corruption.

"I ask all elements in Aceh to declare themselves as of today there is no more corruption in Aceh," he said.

Firli also reminded, if there are still state officials who are corrupt, they will be dealt with firmly in accordance with applicable legal provisions, by prioritizing and following the principles of humanity.

Firli said, Aceh is one of the regions that has a special autonomy law, so that the Aceh APBD is not only supported by special allocation funds (DAK) or general allocation funds (DAU).

"Aceh's income is also assisted by special autonomy funds, the funds are very large, therefore we must ensure that every rupiah spent is for the sustainability and sustainability of development," said Firli.

Firli said, he had also held a meeting with the Governor of Aceh, District Heads and Mayors throughout Aceh in order to make efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption.

"We conveyed that Aceh must contribute to the nation and state to continue the country's goal of not committing corruption," said Firli.
