JAKARTA - A total of 14 people died, 16 others were injured after a bus carrying dozens of Indian pilgrims had an accident in Nepal.

Armed Police spokesman Shailendra Thapa said 43 people were on the bus and all of them were Indian nationals, according to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu. The embassy also said the bus crashed about 150 meters from the highway.

The police and army rescue team helped evacuate people from the bus that crashed near Abukhaireni, about 120 kilometers west of the capital, Kathmandu.
