Polda Metro Capture Telemarketing Judol Site 'Fastpin77'

JAKARTA - Eradication of online gambling continues. Most recently, the Polda Metro Jaya arrested telemarketing from the site 'fastpin77' which is controlled from Cambodia.

"To force the arrest of one suspect in an online gambling case," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, to VOI, Friday, August 23.

The online gambling telemarketing is known to have the initials V alias Joel. He was arrested at a fast food restaurant in Manggarai, South Jakarta, on August 18.

Joel's arrest stems from the results of a cyber patrol that found the fastpin77 online gambling site.

Then, developed and led to Joel. Thus, the investigation was carried out and then an arrest was made.

From the results of the examination, Joel turned out to have a big enough role on the site 'fastpin77'. Not only telemarketing, he is also a customer service.

"Implementing administrative work, such as checking daily reports, checking office inventory if there are problems, as well as the task of managing visa extensions of Indonesian workers working in Cambodia," he said.

"Providing deposit fund holding accounts from players using his account," continued Ade.

Currently, Joel has been detained for deepening interests at the Polda Metro Jaya detention center. In this case, he was charged with Article 27 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph (3) of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the second amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions and/or Article 303 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).
