JAKARTA - Bank DKI Regional Development Bank (BPD) distributed aid to fire victims in Manggarai, South Jakarta. Assistance is allocated through corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi hopes that this assistance can ease the burden on residents affected by the fire in Bali Matraman Village, Manggarai District.

"The provision of CSR assistance to residents in Manggarai Village is expected to support post-disaster handling and recovery, as well as be beneficial for residents in the Kampung Bali Matraman area, Manggarai District and its surroundings," he explained.

This fire incident occurred on Tuesday, August 13 at around 02.30 WIB. Seeing the magnitude of the fire, the Gulkarmat Service deployed an additional 35 fire engines and handled 125 personnel.

Thousands of families from an area of 3.7 hectares were affected by this fire. 7 of them suffered minor injuries.

Now, 1,016 people from 254 heads of families (KK) of Manggarai fire survivors have been relocated to the Pasar Rumput Flats, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.
