JAKARTA - Five Kenyan police officers have been charged with helping a 42-woman serial killer and 12 other detainees escaped from a police station in the capital Nairobi.
The prosecutor asked the court to detain the police, who were on duty during the prison break-in on Tuesday.
Prosecutors also asked the court to give more time to collect information, check CCTV footage and check police phones.
Among those who fled was Collins Jumaisi, who was arrested in July for a serial murder in which 6 female bodies were found wrapped in plastic bags in an old mine.
