Bahlil Will Study The Constitutional Court's Decision Before Taking Steps For Golkar In The 2024 Pilkada

JAKARTA - The new chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, responded to the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which changed the threshold for the nomination of regional heads in the Pilkada. Bahlil said he would study the decision before taking steps for the Golkar Party regarding the nomination of the 2024 Pilkada. He said he would immediately summon the chairman of the Golkar faction in the DPR, Kahar Muzakir after the National Conference was closed today. "I will meet the faction chairman, and maybe I will check what happened to the Constitutional Court's decision. After that, I formulate and take the steps of the Golkar Party in the Pilkada," Bahlil said during a press conference at JCC, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 21. Bahlil did not want to comment much on the 2024 Pilkada because he had just been appointed as the Head of the XI Golkar National Conference. Nevertheless, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources ensured that Golkar remained solid with the Advanced Indonesia Coalition.

"The Pilkada business, I was just elected as a ketum, I can't (comment), but I believe that the Indonesian Coalition is solid, and politics is dynamic. We'll see in the next one or two days, after this (Munas)," he said.
