Robbery In Palmerah, Police: Hundreds Of Millions Fired And Then Residents Arrested

JAKARTA - A gang of robbers took action in the Kemanggisan area, Palmerah, West Jakarta. They managed to steal hundreds of millions of gold and detained the occupants of the house.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said the robbery took place on Saturday, August 17. It is known that the action when the victim with the initials LPI received a call from his son who conveyed the information.

"The victim received a call from his son and reported that there was a scream from the victim's house," Ade told reporters, Monday, August 19.

Then, LPI contacted the housing security officer to check the condition of his house.

When questioned, it turned out that his house had become the target of the robbers. In fact, LPI's son and his household assistant (ART) were held captive in the room.

"After checking by security, it was found that the victim's child and the housemaid in the room and locked from the outside were tied and the victim's assistant mouth was covered with duct tape," he said.

Not long after, the LPI arrived at his house. He immediately checked the condition of his residence. A number of his belongings were stolen by the robbers.

It is estimated that the perpetrators entered or left the house through the side door. Because when checked the condition of the door was already damaged

"Antam's Gold is 500 Grams along with Rp10 million in cash which is stored in a drawer, nothing," he said.

Then, when checked via CCTV, it was discovered that the gang of robbers numbered five people.

Due to this incident, it is estimated that the victim suffered a loss of Rp. 690 million. Currently, the investigation process is being carried out. "It is being handled by the West Jakarta Metro Police," said Ade.
