Will Summon Suspect In Corruption Case Acquisition Of PT Jembatan Nusantara By ASDP

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said four suspects in the corruption case of the business cooperation process (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) would be summoned. However, it has not been specified when.

"They must have been summoned (the suspects in this case, ed)," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika, quoted on Monday, August 19.

However, Tessa said this summons would first be carried out after collecting evidence. "Usually investigators will tend to collect, strengthen the main evidence, which is primary, starting from witness statements, collecting voice evidence, electronic evidence," he explained.

"Because the suspect's statement is at the lowest level of proof, we will strengthen it from the other side. But we will definitely be summoned," continued the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Previously reported, the KPK named four people as suspects in the alleged corruption in the business cooperation process (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) in 2019-2022. The initials are IP, MYH, HMAC, and A.

Meanwhile, based on information obtained by VOI, the three people appointed are directors of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). They are Ira Puspadewi who is the president director; Harry MAC as planning and development director; and Yusuf Hadi who is the commercial and service director.

The private sector with the initials A is Adjie. He was the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara before being acquired.

In this case, the KPK suspects that there has been a state loss which allegedly reached Rp1.27 trillion. This figure is still changing because the calculation continues.

This loss arose because the acquisition process of PT Jembatan Nusantara did not comply with the regulations, based on the narrative of VOI sources. Reporting from a number of reports, PT ASDP purchased PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion.

This state-owned company then controlled 100 percent of PT Jembatan Nusantara shares with 53 ships under management. "The process (in carrying out business cooperation and acquisition, ed) has no legal basis," he said.
