SINGKAWANG - The police are still investigating the case of the elevator crash at CV Arli Singkawang, West Kalimantan. Seven people were injured in this incident.

"There has indeed been a work accident at a shopping center in Singkawang City", said Singkawang Police Chief, AKBP Prasetiyo Adhi Wibowo, quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 25.

The police have examined several witnesses. Now we are looking for an element of negligence in the case of the downed elevator in Singkawang.

"Is this incident due to negligence of the equipment used by the workers, that is what we are still investigating", continued AKBP Prasetiyo.

Several workers who had an accident have been taken to the Abdul Aziz Hospital in Singkawang for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Abdul Aziz Singkawang Regional Hospital, Ruchanihadi, said that seven people were taken to the emergency room.

"The seven victims were treated in the emergency room with generally good conditions. However, several people were injured, such as torn wounds and broken bones", he said.

In the emergency room, the victims who had torn wounds had already been sutured. Meanwhile, X-rays have been carried out for those with broken bones.

"Of the seven people who entered the Abdul Aziz Regional Hospital, three of them have returned home today (Thursday), while the other four are still undergoing treatment at the Abdul Aziz Hospital, Singkawang", he said.
