Owena Mayang Shari Belawan The Strongest Candidate For The 2024 Mahakam Ulu Pilkada

JAKARTA - The survey conducted by the Indonesia Survey Center (ISC) shows the electability of the Owena Mhayang Sari - Stanislaus Liah is firmly at the top of the 2024 Mahakam Ulu Pilkada.

The ISC survey involved 400 respondents, namely residents in Mahakam Ulu Regency who were 17 years old and over or those who already had ID cards.

The technique used is multistage random sampling by direct interview using questionnaire assistance.

This survey was conducted in the period 3 - 12 August 2024 with a margin of error (MoE) +/- 4.9 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.

One of the points recorded in the Indonesia Survey Center survey is the level of public satisfaction with the Mahulu Regency Government during the previous leadership period.

The director of research and senior research at the Indonesia Survey Center, Chairul A Pane, explained that the Mahakam Ulu community was satisfied with the performance of the government of the Regent of Bonifasius Belawan Geh.

"The approval rating and level of public legitimacy for the government of the Regent of Bonifasius Belawan Geh is high. The results of this survey show that during the reign of the Regent of Bonifasius Belawan Geh in Mahakam Ulu, development was felt by the public," said Chairul, Thursday, August 15.

From the data presented by Chairul, it can be seen that the level of public satisfaction with the government of the Regent of Boni is 72.2 percent, with details of 21.5 percent satisfied and 50.7 percent satisfied.

Then the current level of trust in government is a total of 70.9 percent, with details of 25.8 percent believing and 45.1 percent feeling enough confidence in the performance run by the Mahakam Ulu Regency government under the leadership of the Regent of Boni.

So what aspects make people satisfied and believe in the government of the Regent of Boni? The Indonesia Survey Center also creates 10 (ten) fields that are offered to the public.

As a result, for health services, it was satisfied with 7.8% and quite satisfied with 54.1%. Then the road and bridge infrastructure was satisfied with 8.3% and quite satisfied with 58.4%.

Regarding public transportation, respondents answered that they were satisfied 15.7% and 51.7% who were quite satisfied.

Regarding the price of basic necessities, the responders were 21.5% satisfied and 43.7% satisfied. Then for the telecommunications sector, respondents were 13.2% satisfied and 42.9% satisfied.

Another aspect that was questioned to respondents was the availability of clean water. People who were satisfied were 9.1% and 52.8% were quite satisfied.

The issue of lighting and electricity is also quite high, namely those who are satisfied with 8.8% and quite satisfied with 49%. Then there are educational facilities, people who are satisfied with 7.7% and quite satisfied 45.9%. Regarding population administration services, who are 10.1% satisfied and quite satisfied 54.5%. Finally, increasing people's welfare, the results are 9.1% satisfied and 47.9% who feel quite satisfied.

The Indonesia Survey Center survey states that there are 3 figures who have the potential to advance in the 2024 Mahakam Ulu Pilkada. They are Owena Mayang Shari Belawan, Novita Bulan and Yohanes Avun.

From these three, ISC conducts head-to-head simulations to measure the opportunity for election of Mahakam Ulu Regent candidate if the Pilkada is held today:

1. Owena Mayang Shari vs Yohanes Avun (43.9% vs 22.7%). Undecidend voters 35.2%.

2. Owena Mayang Shari vs Novita Bulan (41.8% vs 24.7%). Undecided voters 33.5%.

3. Novita Bulan vs Yohanes Avun (23.7% vs 29.3%). Undecidend voters 47%.

In addition, the Indonesia Survey Center also simulated the couple. Of the three pairs of candidates for the Regent-Deputy Regent who ran in the 2024 Pilkada.

Furthermore, the Indonesia Survey Center also conducts follow-up simulations for the head to head of candidate pairs. Here's the simulation:

1. Novita-Artya vs Owena-Stanislaus : 28.4% vs 47.5%. Undecided voters 24.1%.

2. Owena-Stanislaus vs Yohanes Avun-Yohanes Juan : 48.1% vs 29.7%. Undecided voters 22.2%.

3. Novita-Artya vs Yohanes Avun-Yohanes Juan: 24.5% vs 27.3%. Undecided voters 48.2%.

"At the time of the survey, it was found that either a simultaneous 3 candidates or 2 candidates (head to head), Owena Mayang Shari Belawan, as well as simulations paired with Stanislaus Liah in either 3 pairs or 2 pairs always come out as winners," explained Chairul.

From the survey results, Chairul concluded that Owena Mayang Shari's opportunity to become Mahakam Ulu Regent was very high.

The ISC survey also showed 57.9% of respondents said they were confident in their political choices in the 2024 Pilkada. While the voting was 42.1%.
