Angela Tanoe Visits Prabowo, Perindo Joins Prabowo-Gibran's Government

Chairman of the Perindo Party Angela Tanoesoedibjo said his party officially supports the government of the President and Vice President Elected for the 2024 period, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"That's right, I officially support the legitimate government, Prabowo-Gibran," said Angela after visiting Prabowo Subianto's residence on Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, August 15.

Angela said that her party must support the Prabowo-Gibran government to be able to contribute more to the country.

"Indeed, we see that in the future the Perindo Party must continue to support the government because we want to contribute more, yes, of course we must join the government," he said.

Angela admitted that Prabowo was welcomed. On the other hand, Angela said that her meeting with Prabowo did not discuss ministerial quota.

We are only discussing how development will go in the future and how Perindo can continue to contribute. Moreover, today Perindo has transformed with many young people who join (join) Perindo. We hope this can channel the ideas of the younger generation in the future government," he said.

Apart from Perindo, the NasDem Party elite and the United Development Party (PPP) also visited Prabowo's residence. The two parties also stated that they were ready to support the Prabowo-Gibran government.

NasDem chairman Surya Paloh said that his visit to the residence of the elected president made clear his party's position.

Paloh said NasDem was determined to support Prabowo's government in the future.

"NasDem is clearly determined by all the power of the efforts he has that have an interest in the success of this government. I also say, hopefully NasDem is not a factor that adds to the burden, God willing, he will hopefully be a mitigating part," he said.

Meanwhile, Plt. PPP Chairman Muhamad Mardiono emphasized that PPP is committed to supporting the Prabowo-Gibran government. In addition, his party is also committed to collaborating with the Gerindra Party in the 2024 Pilkada.

"We have committed to the Gerindra Party, namely to cooperate in the Pilkada, both at the provincial and district/city levels; and this has been running since the pilkada nomination process was carried out. It's already running. So, there are still a few more places, "he explained.
