Mundur Dari Ketum Golkar, Airlangga Hartarto: Jaga Stability Transisi Pemerintah

JAKARTA - Airlangga Hartarto officially announced his resignation as General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP.

He claims his resignation to maintain the stability of the transitional government.

"After considering and maintaining the integrity of the Golkar Party in order to ensure the stability of the transitional government that will occur in the near future, by saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, as well as on the instructions of God Almighty, I hereby declare my resignation as General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP," Airlangga said in an official video, Sunday, August 11.

Airlangga said his resignation from the top leadership of the party bearing the banyan tree starting last Saturday, August 10.

Furthermore, he said, the Golkar Party will also prepare an organizational mechanism in accordance with the provisions of the applicable AD/ART.

"All of these processes will be carried out peacefully, orderly, and by upholding the dignity of the Golkar Party," he explained.

Airlangga also emphasized that democracy must continue to be guarded and political parties are the main pillar of democracy. He said, for 60 years the Golkar Party had proven that.

In the 2024 Legislative Election, he continued, the Golkar Party has jointly increased its achievements by seizing 102 seats in the Indonesian House of Representatives, as well as hundreds, even thousands of parliamentary seats at various levels of government from Sabang to Merauke.

Meanwhile, in the 2024 presidential election, the Golkar Party also managed to make a big contribution to the victory of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka pairs.

"They will continue to lead the country to accelerate our steps in advancing the entire Indonesian nation," he said.

Airlangga also did not forget to thank President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. Including Elected President Prabowo Subianto and Elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

In addition, Airlangga also expressed his gratitude for the support of senior Golkar Party, especially for Jusuf Kalla, Aburizal Bakrie, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, Akbar Tanjung, Agung Laksono and Muhamad Hatta.

"As a person, with my whole family, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to so many parties who have worked together and helped raise the party we love together," he said.

Airlangga also reminded the management of the Golkar Party DPP, as well as all of our party leaders at the provincial, city and district levels, to be able to continue to maintain the solidity and continuity of the Golkar Party.

"Especially for Golkar Party cadres and sympathizers, I urge them to continue to care for our party with enthusiasm and optimism. I am sure that the Golkar Party will continue to move forward and make a positive contribution to our beloved country," he said.
