NasDem Cadres Fulfill PBNU Invitation, PKB: Effendy Choirie Take Care Of Your Own Party

JAKARTA - Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Hanif Dharmakiri reminded former PKB politician who is currently a cadre of the NasDem Party, Effendy Choirie, to manage his own party.

"Effendy Choirie is the administrator of the NasDem Party. Yes, take care of the party itself. Why do you join the PKB obok-obok? It's unethical. It can damage inter-party relations," said Hanif in a statement received in Jakarta, Thursday.

According to Hanif, Effendy's behavior in dealing with PKB by fulfilling the invitation of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board on Wednesday, August 7, can be reported to the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh.

"Later we will report it to Bang Surya Paloh as the Head of NasDem, so that the party will be subject to party discipline," he said.

Meanwhile, Hanif agreed that Effendy's statement regarding PKB and PBNU had no structural relationship.

"PKB and PBNU are different entities. PKB is a political party that is under the Political Party Law, NU is a community organization under the Ormas Law. Each has its own organizational sovereignty, has its own AD / ART, and has its own duties and responsibilities," he said.

Therefore, Hanif reminded Effendy not to disturb each other, but to respect each other, as emphasized by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin as one of the founders of PKB.

Hanif admitted that he was confused about seeing PBNU at this time. He also did not know anything about the PKB's mistakes, so he was treated by PBNU through the formation of a special committee that took care of the relationship between the two institutions.

"I also don't know what actually happened to PBNU under the leadership of the two of them (PBNU General Chair Yahya Cholil Staquf and PBNU Secretary General Saifullah Yusuf), so NU is in a lot of trouble, then muruah and his image fell in the eyes of the public," he said.

Hanif believes that both the General Chairperson and the Secretary General of PBNU are diligent in campaigning for civilization and peace, but sparked divisions among NU citizens.

"He said he wanted high politics, but instead was busy taking care of practical politics and wanted to damage PKB. This is paradoxical and ironic. I can't imagine the sadness of the NU muassists (containers) seeing the reality of NU at this time," said Hanif.
