The Head of the General Crime Unit of the Kubu Raya Police, West Kalimantan, said that his party was still developing the case of the destruction of hundreds of Chinese graves in the local area. "There were so many tombs that were damaged, more than 100 graves, but based on the suspect's confession, only two of them were damaged," said Head of the General Crime Unit of the Kubu Raya Police, Ipda Elyas in Sungai Ambawang, Antara, Wednesday, August 7. Elyas said that although he admitted that there were only two graves, investigators were still processing the actions of the perpetrators. Currently, the police are still developing cases and looking for other perpetrators. "Of the two perpetrators, one of them is a recidivist in a theft case," he said. Elyas added that the perpetrators HF (40) and IR (21) sold iron stolen from the tomb at a price of Rp. 5,000 per kilogram. This iron was successfully secured as evidence from the buyer's hands. "The stolen goods were sold at a price of Rp. 5,000 per kilogram with 8 kilograms of evidence, bringing the total to Rp. 40,000," said Elyas. Elyas continued, the buyer of iron is currently still a witness.

"And we are still determining the buyer as a witness in accordance with the instructions of the public prosecutor (JPU)," said Elyas.
